Why Saturday Night?

Cornerstone Community Church meets from 6:00pm – 7:30pm on Saturday night at 880 3rd Street, in the facility of Castle Rock Baptist Church.

Why are we meeting on Saturday Night?

Castle Rock Baptist has generously offered to share their facility. By meeting at Castle Rock Baptist, we can use our resources for ministry rather than rent.

After much thought, discussion and prayer, the church leadership felt that Saturday night would work best for our ministries. Saturday night allows us the most options for Children’s Ministry, Worship Team setup and Fellowship time. By meeting on Saturday night, we can spend more time in worship and fellowship and not rush through the most important time of our week.

We find some huge advantages to meeting on Saturday night:
  • Families have both weekend days free to enjoy the outdoors and spend time together.
  • Ministry teams and fellowship groups can meet together either before or after the service.
  • It’s a lot easier to get kids ready for Saturday night church than it is Sunday morning, as any mother knows.
  • Families with toddlers can come to church and still be home in time for the kid’s bedtime.
  • We meet early enough that you can still go out for dinner or a movie afterward. Church members can continue to meet with each other into the evening, after the service ends. And the next morning, there's no worry about getting up early.

Church is so much more than a building to go to on Sunday morning. We believe the people are the church every day of the week, and though we gather together on Saturdays as a community, we live out our faith each day.
